Biography

 Brette received her BS in Electrical and Computer Engineering from The Ohio State University in June 2002 and matriculated at The University of Texas at Austin’s ECE department in August 2002. She is currently an IGERT research fellow. Her advisors are Dr. Rebecca Richards-Kortum and Dr. Alan Bovik. She is working on an image processing algorithm to determine if cervical cancer is present in recorded in vivo cervical images. She had summer internships at the National Institutes for Health in Bethesda, Maryland in 2001 and Ball Aerospace Technology Cooperation in Boulder, Colorado in 2000. Her undergraduate research on adaptive beamforming from a microphone array was funded by the Ohio Space Grant Consortium.

Brette has a sister who lives in Chicago and a brother who lives in New York City. Her parents live in Ohio.
