Biography

 Kalpana Seshadrinathan received the B.Tech degree in Applied Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering from the College of Engineering, Trivandrum, India, affiliated to the University of Kerala in May 2002. She came to the University of Texas at Austin in Fall, 2002 and joined the Laboratory for Image and Video Engineering (LIVE) in Jan., 2003. She completed her Master's degree in the CommNetS area of Electrical Engineering, under the supervision of Prof. Al Bovik in August, 2004. Her Master's thesis was titled, "Steganalysis of spread spectrum watermarks using natural scene statistics". She completed her Ph.D. under the supervision of Prof. Al Bovik in August, 2008 and her dissertation was titled, "Video quality assessment based on motion models". Her research interests include image and video quality assessment and computational models of human vision. Kalpana is working as a System Engineer with Intel Corporation in Phoenix, AZ since October, 2008.
