Biography
Shalini Gupta received her B.E. degree with college
honors in Electronics and Electrical Communication
Engineering in June 2002, from Punjab Engineering
College, Chandigarh, India and M.S. degree in
Electrical and Computer Engineering in April 2004,
from the University of Texas at Austin. Her master's
thesis was titled "Combining multiple mammographic
views for computer aided diagnosis", which focused on
pattern recognition and image processing algorithms
for computer aided diagnosis for breast cancer.
She started working on her Ph.D under the supervision
of Dr. Alan C. Bovik in the Summer 2004. Her current
research interests include computer aided diagnosis of
breast cancer and 3D face recognition. Among her non
academic interests are English literature, listening
to Indian classical music, swimming and traveling.
