Biography

 Mehul P. Sampat was born in Mumbai, India on November 24th 1978. He Graduated from the University of Mumbai, Mumbai in May 2000 with a B.Sc. degree in Biomedical Engineering. He came to the University of Texas at Austin in Fall 2000 and received the Masters degree in Biomedical Engineering in Spring 2002 and the Ph.D. degree in August 2004 under the joint supervision of Prof.s Bovik and Markey. He is currently a Research Fellow at the Center for Neurological Imaging at Brigham's and Women's Hospital in Boston, MA. In his Master's thesis, he investigated the classification of M-FISH images. His doctoral dissertation focused on evidence based detection of spiculations in mammographic images.
