Biography

 Anush Moorthy completed his B.E degree in Electronics and Telecommunication with a Silver Medal from Maharashtra Institute of Technology, Pune, India, affiliated to the University of Pune in June 2007.
He came to the University of Texas at Austin in Fall, 2007 and joined the Laboratory for Image and Video Engineering (LIVE) at the end of that semester. He received his Master's from the University of Texas at Austin under the supervision of Prof. Alan C. Bovik.

Since August 2008, he has been the Assistant Director of LIVE. Currently he is pursuing his PhD under Dr. Bovik's supervision.

He is a music aficionado and a voracious reader. He writes stories, poems, plays and novels and composes music in his spare time. His research interests include Image/Video quality assessment, Image/Video coding and compression, Object/Image recognition.
