Biography

 Gautam Muralidhar completed his B.E. degree in Electronics and Communication from R. V. College of Engineering, Bangalore, India in July 2002. He started his professional career at Oracle India and worked for a year on relational database management systems. In July 2003, he joined Philips Medical Systems in Bangalore, India and worked as a software developer for the Medical Imaging Platform group. He came to the University of Texas at Austin in Fall 2007 to pursue his PhD in Biomedical Engineering under the joint supervision of Dr. Mia K. Markey and Dr. Alan C. Bovik. His research interests include 2D & 3D Image Processing, Computer Vision and Computational Models for Tumor Growth. He is passionate about cricket and is still trying to understand the rules of American football and baseball!
