Biography

 Ajay Gopinath completed his B.E. degree in Electronics and Communication from Bangalore Institute of Technology, Bangalore, India in 2002. He completed his M.S. in Electrical Engineering from Clarkson University, Potsdam, NY in 2005. He worked in General Electric Research Center's Imaging Technologies Lab before coming to University of Texas, Austin in 2007 to pursue his PhD. His research interests are in biomedical image processing, tomographic reconstruction, feature extraction and statistical methods in shape analysis. He is supervised by Prof. Alan C. Bovik and Prof. David Ress. His other interests include astronomy and playing squash.
