Hardware

  1. Fovea 1: is a state-of-the-art foveated, vergent, multi-fixating active stereo vision system platform that has unprecedented capabilities mirroring those of sophistivated biological vision systems. FOVEA-1 fuses surface/depth information computed at mulitple fixation points with graded (foveated) resolutions.
  2. Eye Trackering equipment: LIVE is equipped with two sophisticated eye trackers-the ASL 504 & the ASL 501 from Applied Science Laboratories. The ASL 504 is a remote eye tracker that is unobtrusive to the subject. For robust eye tracking in a virtual reality environment, an ASL 501 miniature optics eye tracker embedded in a virtual reality helmet is used.
  3. Virual Reality Helmet: VR8 virtual reality helmet from Virtual Research is available at LIVE for eye tracking experiments in virtual environments.
  4. Video Conferencing:2 Canon VC-C4 communication cameras with Matrox Meteor-II frame grabber & Meteor-Lite s/w
  5. Webcams: 10 Vista Imaging webcams issued towards student projects in the Digital Image Processing Course
  6. Texas Instruments TMS320C6701 EVM Boards and software
  7. Texas Instruments TMS320DSC21EVM Boards and software
  8. Digital Camcorder: Canon ZR10
  9. Firewire: PCI IEEE 1394 cards & Pyro Platinum PCMCIA card
Fovea-1: Foveated, vergent active computer vision platform
