Welcome to the LIVE Public-Domain Subjective Mobile Stall Video Database-II
Introduction
Video content delivery and consumption over wireless networks grow exponentially as mobile devices and video applications are widely used. We have created a new mobile video database that models distortions caused by network impairments. In particular, we simulate stalling events and startup delays in over-the-top (OTT) mobile streaming videos. Our newly designed and created LIVE Mobile Stall Video Database-II contains a total of 174 videos generated from 24 reference videos with 26 unique stalling events. LIVE Mobile Stall Video database also includes both continuous-time and overall subjective scores from 54 unique subjects. We hope that our database (videos, subjective data, and video metadata) will serve as a valuable resource to enable the efforts of the research community to build better QoE predictive models and to benchmark their performance to advance the state-of-the-art in user-centric mobile network planning and management.

Database Description
The goal of our study is to understand the influence of dynamic network impairments such as stalling events on Quality of Experience of users watching videos on mobile devices. The LIVE Mobile Stall Video database consists of 174 distorted videos generated from 24 reference videos with 26 unique stalling events and rich continuous-time subjective opinion scores obtained from 54 subjects. We chose 24 High Definition (HD) creative commons licensed videos (have audio included) from YouTube and Vimeo which can be categorized into - sports (9), talk shows / documentaries (8), music (2), advertisements (3), and newscasts (2). Each reference video was preprocessed to realistically introduce stall impairments, thus generating 174 distorted videos.
