Introduction to Image and Video Quality Assessment

LIVE Databases for Image and Video Quality Assessment

Objective Quality Assessment Research at LIVE

  • No-Reference Quality Assessment
Distortion-agnostic and distortion-specific blind image quality assessment based on natural scene statistics in the wavelet and DCT domains.
  • Full-Reference Quality Assessment
Information theoretic methods, structural similarity based image quality assessment and foveated image quality index.
  • Video Quality Assessment Research at LIVE
On-going video quality assessment research at LIVE includes development of algorithms for objective video quality assessment, as well as the
LIVE mobile VQA database, that will complement the LIVE IQA and VQA databases.
